Aim Wire + clips sensor engine speed (Tour / mn)
This cable is the primary sensor of your on-board computer. It works by magnetic induction : wrapping around the wire bougie, it captures the electric pulse sent by the coil to each spark and translates it into exploitable data (lathes per minute) on your screen.
-
Accurate reading: Allows you to monitor the engine speed in real time to optimize your carburation and transmission reports.
-
Non-invasive installation: No need to cut or strip cables, the signal is captured through the insulation of the wire of bougie.
-
Complete kit: Supplied with maintenance clips to ensure that the wire does not move despite intense vibrations.

| Feature | Details |
| Mark | AIM (Original Spare Parts) |
| Compatibility | Mychron 4, Mychron 5, Mychron 5s, Mychron 5 2T MyCHRON 6 |
| Signal type | Induction (RPM) |
| Included | Sensor wire + plastic fastening clips |
| Length | Standard (adjustable by winding) |
- Mounting tuto: for a signal without parasites
-
Connection: Connect the specific socket at the back of your Mychron (marked port "RPM").
-
Wire passage: Run the thread along the chassis, ideally following the accelerator cable, avoiding the high heat areas (exhaust pot).
-
The winding (crucial): Wrap the sensor wire around the wire bougie (between the coil and the antiparasite). Make 4 to 5 tours tight.
-
FIXING: Lock the winding with the help of clips provided or small Rilsan necklaces. The wire must be integral with the wire bougie without being crushed.
? Michel's trick
"If your Mychron displays whimsical values or 'jump' (eg, from 6000 to 18000 turns suddenly), it is often an induction problem. The trick: Do not do too many turns (no more than 5) because it creates parasites. My Pro Council: Keep the RPM wire from other sensor cables (water / exhaust temperature) to prevent electronic interference. A clean signal is the basis for adjusting its engine! "
❓ FAQ SEO (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Is it compatible with the engines Rotax, Iame And TM? R: Yes, this induction sensor is universal and works on all karting engines equipped with a thread of bougie classic.
Q: What if the thread is too long? A: Never cut the thread! Wrap the excess properly and secure it away from the ignition coil to avoid captivating parasitic signals.
Q: Are the clips reusable? A: The AIM origin clips are robust, but with the heat of the engine, they can become brittle. It is advisable to check them at each engine revision.
