6x30mm x30 valve box stud Iame (178)
The 6x30mm valve box stud is a crucial technical scraper for IME X30 engine. Unlike a conventional screw, the stud remains fixed in the housing, which preserves the threads of aluminum during frequent disassemblies for cleaning the carburetor or checking valves. With a length of 30 mm and a diameter of 6 mm (M6)It allows a perfect maintenance of the combo valve box + admission conveyor.
Why choose the original Iame hardware?
-
Preserving housings: By using studs, you avoid seeking the female thread of the engine housing at each intervention.
-
High resistance steel: Designed to support the engine heating and cooling cycles without expanding excessively, ensuring a constant tightening torque.
-
Accurate thread: No standard M6 screws perfectly calibrated for x30 carters, avoiding any risk of tearing material.
-
Optimized length: The 30 mm allow to cross the conveyor flange and leave enough thread for the nut and washer.
? Michel's trick
"The big advantage of the stud is that it guides your carburetor to the reassembly, it is much easier than with screws! My advice: If you have to change a stud, uses the technique of the 'locknut' To screw it properly in the housing without damaging the thread with a clamp. Once in place, does not squeeze it like an ox in aluminum. And a small reminder: if your stud is twisted or if the thread is 'tired', change it immediately. If a nut get in stroke because of a messed thread, it's the insured air intake and your engine will get carried away! "
? Mounting Guide
-
Installation: Screw the shortest part of the stud into the engine crankcase (you can use a "medium" net brake drop so that it stays well in place).
-
Interview: Visually check the net status to each revision.
-
Compatibility: IME 125CC X30 motor (all versions) and KA100.
