The Iame air box foam is specially designed to fit the internal sleeve of X30 air boxes (including post-2018 models). Its role is vital: filter the incoming air without curbing the flow required for performance. It retains dust particles, gum debris (pick-up) and moisture, ensuring that only a pure air enters your Tillotson carburetor.

Why maintain your filter foam?

High engine protection: A foam in good condition prevents micro-particles from scratching the cylinder or damage the piston.
Carburation stability: A clean foam allows a constant air passage. If clogged, your mixture becomes too rich and the engine loses its power.
Specific honeycomb: Designed to withstand fuel and oil vapors that go back through the sleeve during depression phases.

? Maintenance Guide & Montage

Disassembly: Open the air box by removing clips or screws. Take out the foam delicately from the sleeve.
Cleaning: Degrow the foam, rinse thoroughly and let dry naturally (do not twist violently).
Oiling: Apply a specific sticky oil for filter. Press the foam to distribute the oil uniformly (it must be slightly sticky but not dripping).
Reassembly: Check that the foam perfectly covers the sleeve input. A bad position is equivalent to not having a filter at all.
