Verification of the axis: Before putting on the spacer, make sure the axis of the column is not marked or twisted. The spacer must slide effortlessly.
Mounting order: If you use multiple spacers (eg one of 5mm and one of 10mm), always place the thick where the mechanical effort is most important to ensure better stability.
Symmetry: If you change the height to compensate for a rod angle, make sure the two rods (left and right) work with the same angle with the column.
Tightening: Do not tighten the column nut like a brute. The spacer must be held firmly, but the column must be able to pivot freely without hard point.

The trick: Pay attention, the more you go up the steering wheel with spacers, the more you increase the lever arm on the column. My Pro Council: If you need more than 20mm spacers, check that the Nylstop nut at the end of the column takes on all its net. Security above all: a steering wheel that stays in your hands because the nut jumped, it's not ideal for taking the rope! "
