This high precision sieve filter is an original part Dell'Orto. It is located directly at the entrance of your carburettor's gasoline arrival. Its ultra-fine mesh is designed to stop impurities from the tank or jerrycans, thus ensuring a clean fuel flow to the tank.

The essentials with your filter 11957A:

• Filter cover seal (Ref. 6159): If you remove the filter, the small O-ring from the lid is often crushed. Change it to prevent fuel leaks on the engine.

• Durite neoprene essence: A new durite does not go into pieces inside, which prolongs the life of your filter.

• Carburettor cleaner: A spray blow into the filter housing at each revision to drive away gum deposits.

A little pro secret: Do not clean this filter with the bellow too strong, you may tear the invisible mesh to the naked eye. If you see impurities in it, replace it with a new one. At this price, you don't take any risk with carburation. At Magickart, we always have two or three in the toolbox!"

Tuto: Filter maintenance (N°38)

1. Dismantling: Unscrew the central screw from the fuel supply lid (on the side of the carburettor).

2. Extraction: Gently remove the sieve filter with a small clamp or fine hook.

3. Inspection: If you see black dots or opaque veil, the filter is saturated.

4. Reassembly: Insert the new filter thoroughly into its housing. Check that the lid joint is in place before tightening the screw (do not tighten like a deaf, it's aluminium!).
