More than just a cosmetic cover, the red cylinder head fills crucial mechanical roles:

1. Cooling chamber: It creates the volume needed above the combustion dome so that the coolant circulates. Its internal form is optimized to avoid "dead zones" where the water will stagnate, ensuring homogeneous cooling.

2. Pressurrowing: By screwing on the cylinder, it plates with force the combustion insert (the dome) and the O-rings. It is he who ensures that the compression remains in the engine and that the water remains in its circuit.

3. Sensor and Candle Interface: It has a central well for the bougie ignition and a specific thread for the temperature sensor and the water outlet fitting to the radiator.

? Tuto: installation and maintenance

1. Executive inspection: Before laying, check that the support face of the cylinder head is perfectly smooth. A deep stripe at this place and it is the leak of water assured.

2. Housing of joints: Make sure the inner O-ring (64x2) and the large outer seal (105x2.5) are in place in the cylinder before placing the red cylinder head.

3. Tightening to the couple: Use M8 screws and tighten them on the cross. The recommended torque is 30 nm.

4. Air purge: After filling the circuit, lightly unscrew the temperature sensor on top until the water flows without air bubbles, then close. An air bag under the cylinder head cover can cause engine tightening in minutes.
